Normally I try to eat fairly healthy and stick to foods that are more nutritious, but every thanksgiving I put those thoughts aside and endulge............this thanksgiving was no exception.
I love thanksgiving, not only because i spend time with my family and get a break from school, but the food is always great. The turkey, mashed potatoes, and stuffing, all topped with gravy. The cranberry sauce, green bean casserole, and the multitude of pies. All delicious, all filling, and all artery-clogging. Cant be worse than a meal at McDonalds though.

change in times
As a kid, i remember that my favorite thing to do was to go outside and meet up with all my friends and do something fun.........OUTSIDE. We would all go outside and play, and whatever we did, it always involved physical activity like running or climbing or sports. I get the feeling that nowadays, kids aren't the same way, and they always want to play inside and do sit down activities. Growing up, i lived in a residential apartment complex type neighborhood and there were always kids outside, rain or snow. I had video game systems growing up and television, but i spent most of my time outside. i now live in talmar woods, which is kind of the same type of place where i grew up, but i never see kids outside, i realize that a lot of people that live in talmar are college students, but its also a split of low-income families that live there, so there are children in the neighborhood, i just never see them. I don't know what other people are seeing and I definitaly could be wrong, but it just seems to me that kids today have more of a tendancy to stay inside.
